Volunteer Opportunities
Applicants
must be willing to get their hands dirty.
Volunteers are needed on a daily basis to help feed , clean cages and
other duties. Some of those other tasks are:
- Feed livestock
- Prepare & feed birds and smaller
animals
- Hose out cages
- Clean kitchen & bathrooms
- Give tours
- Take out/haul trash
- Mow & weed eat
- Feed bears
- Assist with cat feedings
- Miscellaneous maintenance
- Cleaning animal houses
- Rehab/exercise animals
Be aware that many of these duties
involve lifting and contact with raw meat and dealing with wastes.
In addition to these regular duties, we also have "odd jobs"
for those that can't come on a regular basis or want to do something
as a group. Some of these are:
Cage Painting
Helping with Yard Sales
Helping at events
"Spring" cleaning of the facilities
(this occurs all year
long)
Constructing den boxes
