Welcome to Elmira's Wildlife Sanctuary

Elmira's Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit corporation supported solely by members and private contributions. There are no paid employees, we're staffed entirely by volunteers. Our mission is providing loving care, life management and enrichment to exotic and wild animals in need of a home. We also provide educational opportunities which increase community awareness of these animals needs. This past year the sanctuary grew to include 4 more bears, a cougar, and 8 tigers (including adorable twin cubs, Cort and Lexi). who were displaced from a sanctuary closed down by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission.

Volunteers are always needed and appreciated - visit the "Members" section to sign up for one of the most unique and fulfilling opportunities of your life! You'll be glad you did....and so will we!!

MISSION STATEMENT

We provide continuing care, life management and enrichment to exotic and wild animals in need of a home. We also provide educational opportunities and programs, increasing community awareness of the needs of these animals. Elmira's is located near Tampa, Florida in a rural area on the Hillsborough/Manatee County line. We rely entirely on individual donations and have no paid employees.
